My perfect autumn

This is October in a bottle, no less. I once loved SL Chêne deeply, but sadly couldn’t wear it - its alcoholic note was too overwhelming. In Salem, I found those perfect autumn leaves once again: withered, crisp, delicately touched by the sweetness of decay and as true to nature as one could ever hope for. But instead of alcohol, Salem wraps me in the fresh, cold air of an October day. I think this might be a love that lasts a lifetime.

this is a lovely autumn/winter scent!
the rain and leaves are VERY distinct, not a petrichor scent at all. this combined with the slight fruity note almost reads as a little melon-y? it doesn't smell LIKE melon, but it's juuuuust reminiscent enough that i'd be careful with this one if you really hate melon scents.
there's a lovely pine scent, and once the woodiness comes through, it's BEAUTIFUL. highly recommend this, no criticisms. smells just like a rainy autumn day.
