Apple Musk Perfume Oil

I have been looking for a clear, bright apple scent for a long time. Unfortunately, this scent wasn't it. Instead, it is this long, gentle sigh unfolding on the skin; sweet and lovely.

To me, this is more musk forward, than apple. And I can't track the whisp of cinnamon. I suspect it's difficult to prolong apple in perfumery which is why the longevity of the apple is very surprising. There's an almost gentle rose-like note at first application. But as it develops it reminds me of the sweet innocence of an idyllic (HEAVY on the idyllic) medieval youth. Soft, sweet, hopeful, gentle, beautiful. Even in the dry-down it pulls in the apple notes. Beautiful.

While this is now firmly in my favorite apple scents, my quest for that clear, bright apple continues. But I look forward to welcoming this scent alone or as a layer.

So beautifully clean and crisp! Not a gourmand, but sweet. Reminds me a bit of an apple-scented shampoo, but very elevated. It’s a skin scent from the start, but the sillage is enough that I can catch whiffs of it on myself for about 5 hours after application. Would adore as an EDP next year!

I tend to not like the gourmand or sweet "foodie " scents as much and hesitated on this one. Initially I didnt know if I would like it but based on the scent profile description I added it to my order and couldn't be happier. It's like a fresh cider mill apple, sitting outside in the fall sun and breeze. Not too sweet, not tart, but rich and cozy and delicious. Smells like a dream.

I really like this one. It's fresher than the other scents in this line. If you like open air, crisp fall scents, this one is great.

Apple Musk is a very nice and very fresh to my nose. But It lacks the complexity and layers that Poison Apple has or had.. I still have a little bit of Poison Apple left so I was able to compare the two. I personally love the scent of Apples with spices. Apple Musk is very nice, I really do like it, but it doesn't hold a candle to Poison Apple.
