This perfumed oil is composed with rare and precious materials. Bulgarian rose absolute opens with a velvet softness, Somalian frankincense brings a luminous resinous glow, and at its heart lies Oud Assafi, the most celebrated of all wild-harvested oud oils.
Oud Assafi was born of a collaboration between Bangladeshi master distillers Jalali Agarwood and Firmenich. Revered for its complexity, it is dark, animalic, leathery, and richly woody. Its presence lends the oil a mysterious, dark beauty.
This is a lightly scented perfumed oil, designed for subtle wear and layering. It will not project like a traditional perfume. The intention is to give a quiet trace of rose, resin, and oud on the skin or through the hair, allowing the beauty of the materials to be experienced in a more intimate way. A few drops smoothed throughout the middle to ends of the hair creates a beautifully dark and resinous aromatic halo.
Each cap is shaped by hand from black clay with a hand-applied deep metallic gold overcoat . The small marks and textures you see are part of that process. They make every bottle unique, and no two are exactly the same.
