Perfume oils do not unfold their complexity when experienced directly from the bottle. If you attempt to gauge the aroma of a perfume oil by smelling it from the bottle, your experience will not be accurate.
Apply first to your pulse points (the inner wrists, the base of the throat, behind ear lobes, and the inner elbows.) where it will warm with your body heat to unfold the fragrance.
Perfume oil, unlike alcohol-based perfumes, wears closer to the skin. It warms on your body, adapts to your body chemistry, and creates a halo of scent on the body. As it fades, perfume oil can be applied throughout the day as a personal aromatic ritual.

Midnight Mass Perfume Oil

Aroma palette is smoky, incense, and resinous. Highlights include frankincense, myrrh, ancient moss, aged merlot, antique woods, and extinguished candle wick.
This fragrance encapsulates the sacred and timeless atmosphere of a midnight mass on a winter evening.
At the forefront of this composition is a frankincense and myrrh duet, lending an air of sacred solemnity to the blend. On the drydown, moss gently growing on ancient stones is revealed alongside several types of sandalwood, adding woody and earthy layers of depth and warmth.
Church incense and the faintest hint of chalice wine, subtly weaves through the other notes, creating an intoxicating blend that evokes the rituals and traditions of the church interior. The background of this evocative blend also features nuances of candle wick, beeswax, and delicate tendrils of smoke to evoke memories of freshly extinguished candles.
This unisex blend unfolds slowly, inviting you to experience the sensory richness of an olfactory mass.
my dream perfume. i already knew this was going to be perfect & it absolutely lived up to my expectations, but if anything, exceeded them. my personal favorite note is the smokiness of the burnt candle wick. lasts amazingly and the dry down is just as beautiful
Midnight Mass captures the sweet highlights of resinous incense, to which I add just a hint of bonfire undertones using Cathedral Noir to complete the charcoal brazier experience evocative of monastic evening prayer when meditating (without setting off smoke alarms!)
Was wanting to replace incense for evening prayer with a small bit of this at my collar bone each candlelighting at vespers. (Roommates don't want the smoke of actual incense in the house). Slightly sweeter than I expected, while still catching the essence of what I was looking for. And the conditioning (like Pavlov's dog). definitely sets the mood for prayer. Am looking forward to trying Cathedral Noir, which may presumably be a little more smokey and a little less sweet. But still, this is an Amen, thumbs up!
Ok. Kidding. But this smells like a gorgeous, atmospheric old cathedral, full devotional candles, old hymnal, swinging censures, extinguishing wicks, and a tiny taste of communal wine. Also the name of my favorite Vampire series..... top 3 scents for me.
An intriguing, soothing scent I associate with evening and night.
