Aroma palette is ozonic, metallic, and earthy. Highlights include congealed blood, rusted knives, stagnant air, and tv static wafting from a damp basement.

Here, the artist has bottled a basement full of horrors. It opens with the thick, metallic, and stale scent of congealed blood. This is the iron-heavy smell of something left behind, dried into the floor, and baked into the air. This note dances equally with the sharp and acrid smell of rusted knives. It’s not a clean metal, but the oxidized, brown-edged steel pulled from a drawer that should have stayed locked. There’s a dampness here, as if some of the blades were left to corrode in a pan of water.

An accord of basement air that hasn’t moved in years sets the backdrop for the initial horror. Damp wood, old dust, and mildew crawling behind the walls. Lingering in the background is the scent of hot circuitry, ozone, and burned dust trapped inside old electronics. A flicker of artificial light in total darkness. It smells like an old television screen left on long after the power should have been cut.

This is not an easily wearable perfume. It’s a piece of olfactory art built to disturb. Use it for haunted house attractions, immersive installations, or cosplay. This is not for everyday use. It is likely to make most people recoil.

5ml perfume oil.

Warning: This composition is intentionally disturbing. While skin-safe and crafted with the same care as our other perfumes, it is not designed for beauty or comfort. It may provoke strong reactions, including nausea, unease, or dread. Most will find it unwearable. It is meant to evoke a specific atmosphere. We strongly recommend sampling in a controlled setting before applying to skin or wearing in public. It will arrive with a perfume testing strip so that you may experience it without committing to skin application.

Compels and repels all at once.

I have never encountered a bottled scent like this. On initial sniff, it hits very viscerally. The immediate reaction is of recoil. Almost like a gut punch. But something in it compels you to take another whiff. Just to be sure. I found myself getting queasy. It is very unnerving to say the least. However, all that said, I am glad I purchased it. It is truly an example of the artistry of the perfumer. To be able to capture this olfactory nightmare is astounding.

Absolutely a work of art!

Okay so like most people who bought this fragrance I wanted to make it a personal goal to somehow be one of the few who could wear it everyday, so when I first got the chance to smell it in person I was genuinely shook by how accurate the note description was I expected more of a bloody vibe but for me I got more TV static which was really cool to capture that in a scent! But what surprised me the most was when I first smelled it i didnt apply any on me however randomly throughout my day I could smell it not on my hands but periodically throughout the day just a lingering TV statics metallic smell and I found it very haunting it was so iconic! But I did find a scent to pair it with for a more wearable vibe and I layered it with Haunted Waters and it gave this beautiful haunting smell that just screams ghost girl from a well type vibes and even more surprisingly I got complements while wearing that combo if that says anything! But all in all I genuinely can't recommend this fragrance enough it's so iconic!

Be Careful…

This is exactly as advertised. It’s a serial killer’s basement, it’s destruction we run from, it’s bloody, rusty knives.
On my skin it’s a slight hint of citrus that dissolves into nothing, but when I move sometimes I smell rust and blood. This is not a “perfume”, as such, but it is a landscape and a feeling and a fear. I love it, but it really isn’t for everyone.

If a song had a scent

I was watching a YouTube video a couple weeks ago about supposedly the most disturbing song ever written that experts have warned to never listen to alone at night.
I was thinking, what song could be THAT bad. By the end of the video my nerves were shattered and I felt genuine fear. It wasn’t even the full song, just a few lines. A couple days later I received this perfume. As soon as I smelled it, that fear and anxiety came rushing back. I knew this was that song and my feelings all in one bottle. Thanks for creating this unique experience for me!

The song is Frankie Teardrop by Suicide. I still haven’t listened to the whole thing yet.

Wonderfully baneful and horrifying

After reading the description of Abject Fear, I knew I had to buy it. Maybe I could wear it? Possibly? Well, when my order arrived, I put a little on the test strip and took a deep sniff. Whoa! This is definitely not a perfume to wear but absolutely for sure it is a work of high art! The scent is still tumbling around in my senses hours later. Though I do not see myself using this, I’m very glad I purchased it. If you’re into the macabre, I recommend adding it to your collection. If you’re into the dark arts, it might be something to use in banishing magick. Regardless, Kalliope has crafted one hell of an olfactory horror, and I love her for it!
