An Important Note on Reformulations and Retirements

Over the past several months, I’ve been quietly navigating the effects of a shifting global supply chain. Like many independent artists, I’ve felt the impact of rising tariffs, raw material shortages, and supplier disruptions. Since November, the cost of several key ingredients has climbed steadily. Patchouli, for example, has become significantly more expensive.

I’ve absorbed these costs without raising prices, and I intend to continue doing so. As always, higher prices will only apply to limited editions made with rare or costly materials, while my general catalog will remain unchanged. However, as some suppliers begin to reformulate or discontinue certain materials entirely, change is becoming unavoidable. Several of my compositions will need to be reformulated as I run out of ingredients that are no longer available.

1983, Witch’s Veil, Obsidian Forest, and Vena Cava will be the first to retire in their current forms. Once the remaining master batches are gone, these fragrances will either be reimagined or put on hold until I can achieve the quality I expect. If any of these are a favorite, I encourage you to collect them in their original form while they’re still available. You can find all retiring/reformulating fragrances on this page.

Reformulations are never taken lightly. My goal is always to preserve the heart and inspiration behind the original, not just to substitute ingredients, but to refine and further perfect each one. If a fragrance cannot be reimagined to the standard I expect, I will retire it until I can perfect it. For instance, I still plan to reformulate Joan of Arc, but some projects can take months or even years to reach the level I demand.

I understand how disappointing it can be when a favorite is retired, and I share that sense of loss. However, I always approach these moments as an opportunity to create something even truer to my vision. Your support allows me to continue working with this level of intention and care, and for that, I am deeply grateful.
